RedactVault is designed to keep sensitive-document redaction in the browser on your device instead of relying on a typical upload-and-process workflow. Professional and Business users can continue core processing offline after signing in while connected and keeping the app loaded, but offline mode currently does not survive a cold browser restart or a fresh app load without connectivity. Accurate and Face detection are unavailable offline, and stats, metrics, sync, and billing features resume when you reconnect.

RedactVault is designed to make exported redactions permanent, not just visual overlays. For PDFs, the export is verified and either removes matched content natively or rasterizes fallback pages so hidden text is not left behind. For DOCX files, redacted text is replaced in the document package and verified. For image files, redactions are written into the exported image pixels and metadata is stripped. You should still review the exported file before sharing it.

Yes. AI redaction runs in your browser on your device, not on our servers. Because it uses your own hardware, it can take longer on slower machines or larger files, and you can cancel the run at any time.

Our unlimited plans are designed for typical individual or team use, which we estimate at around 20,000 documents per month. If you need to process significantly more documents on a regular basis, please contact our sales team to discuss a plan that better fits your needs.

Yes. You can switch between monthly and annual billing at any time. If you upgrade from monthly to annual, you will be credited for any unused time on your monthly plan. Annual plans offer significant savings compared to paying monthly.

The Business plan includes 5 user seats. Each additional team member costs $0.00/user/month (or $0.00/user/year on annual plans). You can add or remove seats at any time, and you will only be charged for the seats you use.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and can arrange invoicing for annual Business plans. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Absolutely. Our Personal plan is free forever with basic features. Professional and Business plans include a 7 days trial, but you need to complete Stripe Checkout and enter payment details to start it. Your card is only charged if you do not cancel before the trial ends.

Since all processing happens client-side in your browser, we do not store your documents on our servers. If you cancel, you will still have access to any redacted files you have already downloaded. Project metadata (for Business plans) can be exported before cancellation.
